    Biography

    An Tran, PA-C, received her B.S. degree in neurobiology at UMD, College Park and her masters degree in physician assistant studies at Stony Brook University in New York. She worked as a cardiothoracic surgery PA at New York Presbyterian, Columbia in Manhattan for 4 years where she managed complex pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients on the step-down unit. She also concomitantly worked as a per-diem at an urgent care clinic in Hells Kitchen. She has now joined the UCSF cardiothoracic surgery team to focus on critically ill cardiac surgery patients including ECMO, VAD, and heart/lung transplant management.
