Meet Rodrigo de Souza, M.D., New Internationally Renowned Cardiac Surgeon at UCSF
Rodrigo de Souza, MD, an internationally renowned Cardiac Surgeon joined the Division of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. de Souza, M.D. earned his medical degree from Gama Filho University in Brazil. Subsequently, he completed his General Surgery Residency and Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship from the Federal Hospital of Jacarepaguá and the Federal University of Paraná, respectively.
Prior to coming to UCSF, Dr. de Souza was the Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at Ruy Azeredo Hospital in Brazil and Cardiovascular Surgeon of Hospital do Coração de Goiás, Hospital São Francisco de Assis e Hospital do Coração Anis Rassi.
Dr. de Souza is an active member of the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery and titled member and Board Certified by Brazilian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery and Brazilian College of Surgeons.
Dr. de Souza's clinical and research interest in minimally invasive coronary revascularization.
